How does our service work?

During your initial consultation (which can be by phone or in-home), we will determine the one or two days a week that you will receive your deliveries (typically based upon the area you are in, but accommodations can be made!) as well as determine which package would best benefit you.

If you are expecting, we will deliver your first shipment of diapers one to two weeks before your due date (and you are not charged for the weeks that you do not use the diapers). Regular service will not begin until you notify us that you have delivered and need to begin service. If the baby arrives early, no problem! Just let us know, and we’ll make your first delivery as soon as possible. If your baby has already been born, we will deliver your first shipment of diapers within 10 business days of initial payment. On your second delivery, we will deliver the full amount of diapers regardless of how many clean ones you have. Beginning on your third delivery, you will begin to receive the amount of diapers equal to what we picked up the previous delivery (so you will not receive a full delivery each week unless you use every single diaper that you have each week). On occasion you may receive a few more or a few less diapers than what was picked up during your previous delivery in order to maintain your level of service.

When a diaper is dirty, just toss it in the diaper pail- no rinsing necessary! If your baby is eating solid foods, you can just toss the solid stool into the toilet. Otherwise, just toss the entire diaper in the pail.

If you are renting our wraps/covers, they do not need to be washed after every use, nor do they need to be scrubbed or sterilized. All you need to do is hand wash in warm, soapy water, rinse and then hang to dry. Most covers can also be machine washed, using no bleach or fabric softener.

On your designated delivery days, count the number of clean diapers you still have and mark this on the attached tag (also use this tag to write any special instructions or requests). Then simply tie up the liner containing the dirty diapers and put it out on your front porch by 7:00 am.

If you need to make a change to your service (increasing or decreasing the level) or schedule vacation time when you won’t need our services, just give us a call and we’ll make the changes (please give us at least two weeks notice when going on vacation; service can change weekly). When going on vacation, we can either suspend service or increase your service level to accommodate you while you are away.

Diaper Care

Please do not try and wash our cloth diapers at home. Self laundering can cause discoloration, permanent staining, chlorine damage, etc. and there is a $3 charge per damaged diaper.

Most cloth diaper users will agree that there is no need to use diaper creams, but if you would still like to use a cream, you may. Please do not use Regular or Original Formula Desitin as these ointments contain a large amount of cod liver oil and zinc oxide, which will leave permanent damage to your diapers.

Diaper Sizes

We offer three basic sizes of diapers, which should be able to accommodate any child.

Newborn is best for preemies (up to about 6 or 7 pounds)

Infant is for babies up to 15 pounds

Regular is for children 15 pounds or greater

If you find that your diapers are getting too short, too tight or they are not absorbing enough for your liking, let us know, and we will switch you to the larger size. When switching to a new size, there may be a 7-10 day delay in the event that new diapers have to be ordered and prepared for service. We will get you the new size as quickly as possible.
